Kids deserve happiness and fun more than anyone else
According to the statistics of the Vietnam Women's Union, within two years, from 2014 to 2016, more than 4,000 children in Vietnam are the victims of sexually abused. Of these 80% of the victims are girls, and those from 13 to 16 make up the largest proportion. Sexuality knowledge should be educated to children as soon as possible in school. Sexual assault is different in many aspects, so at each age and stage of development of children, there must have appropriate educational programs.
It’s all started to us with just a thought. Then with the help of more than 15 people, from 2 different organizations, we made it come true. Sexual assault or abuse is a controversial issue in Vietnam, therefore, with the help from CSWC, Sharing Kitchen want to educate these little street kids in D8, Thu Duc how to protect themselves and speak it up when their friends get into the sexual abuse/assault situations. These classes, not only just studying. They have a small party to kick off the hot summer days. We hope this will be successful for 7 classes in future. Kids deserve happiness and fun more than anyone else. And we just here to help them create their own ones.
