The Affluent Tết
“The Affluent Tết” will bring the image of wealthiness, reunited family, happy smiles, luck-wishes and warm hugs from different puzzle pieces we gathered so everyone has one family
The photoshoot “The Affluent Tết” is a present for the upcoming Lunar New Year from The Sharing Kitchen to 4 orphanages and nursing houses, of which we have supported for the past 5 years.
“The Affluent Tết” will bring the image of wealthiness, reunited family, happy smiles, luck-wishes and warm hugs from different puzzle pieces we gathered so everyone has one family. Those are 2 single women in Thiên Ân nursing home taking care of 150 other women in the same situation. That is Huy, a boy who was abandoned by his parents. He was then found and taken by a taxi driver to La Vang orphanage. Another is Minh Anh, who was left by her Mom with a quick note. Those are Bana and Raglai kids from Phú Yên, Gia Lai live and study in Sơn Kỳ orphanage, and the Blinds from Bừng Sáng orphanage. “Everyone needs Tết”, the message The Sharing Kitchen want to deliver. We hope for a greater understanding and sharing from society for the people who are in need.
Our biggest hopes are that La Vang orphanage will have enough milk, a water purification system for Bung Sang orphanage’s daily use for 50 blinds, medical care and diapers for single elderlies in Thiên Ân nursing home.
After publishing the photoshoot, we were donated 78,000,000 VND (approx 3,600 USD) for 4 centers to have the real affluent Tết. We have used 11 millions VND for medical cares for Thien An nursing house, 10 millions VND for Bung Sang orphanage’s water purification system, 42 millions for kitchen construction and 4 months of milk for La Vang orphanage, and also 12 millions for computers for Son Ky orphanage.
Also, other charity funds will know that Sơn Kỳ orphanage needs computers and extracurricular activities for ethnic minority kids to adapt to the changing world. All donations can be given to us, The Sharing Kitchen, Nguyễn Thị Thúy - 0071000978747 Vietcombank Branch North of Saigon, or directly donated to orphanage contacts above.
